Sports Activities in Longridge

Longridge Golf Club

Founded in 1877 the Club is the oldest golf club in Lancashire.

It is a challenging moorland course with views in all directions over the Ribble Valley and to the Welsh Mountains, Pennines, Lake District, Morecambe Bay and Blackpool.


Crown Green Bowls

Bowls has an extensive following in the area, given the number of teams registered in the two leagues operating in Longridge:

The Longridge & District has 49 teams of 8 players in 6 Divisions.

The Longridge & District Mixed Vets has 30 teams of 8 players in 3 Divisions.

The British Legion is probably the main Bowling club in Longridge itself.


Darts and Dominoes

Most pubs and clubs in Longridge are part of the local Darts and Dominoes league with a regular schedule of weekly games. More information to follow.

Several pub teams also play in neighbouring leagues - such as Preston and Garstang.
