Walking around Longridge and the Ribble Valley

The Longridge Heritage Trails

The Longridge Heritage Trails were devised in 2001 by the Longridge Heritage Committee assisted by the Longridge & District Local History Society and funded by Ribble Valley Borough Council.

The 5 Walks pack, which take in the countryside around the town, is currently sponsored and financed by LSEC. It is available from over the counter at Longridge Library and the local Post Office, as well as Clitheroe and Preston Tourist Information Centres, and Borders.

The two current short circular walks around the town are detailed with maps below:

TRAIL 1 Quarrying & Textiles                      Approximately 2.4km (1.5 miles) About 1.5 hours

TRAIL 2 Religion & Commerce                     Approximately 3.2km (2 miles) About 2 hours
